Visual Arts As A Major

Art consists of an assortment of human activities between creative imagination, visual sense, physical ability, aesthetic sense, or technical skill to express personal creative intuition, beauty, emotion, spiritual belief, or other emotional notions. It is not known exactly when art began but it is most likely a gift of humans to the universe that has grown in leaps and bounds over the years. The history of art is long and varied, even the origin of art is still a mystery. However, most experts agree that the earliest art traces back to the Paleolithic period of pre-historical times when people began decorating their stone tools with natural stones like limestone, dolomite and granite. Art has evolved throughout the years and there are still many forms of art being created today that date from before the dawn of civilization. Art usually dwells on things that are visual and has a purpose or meaning.

Arts

Visual arts are any artistic endeavor using the senses such as sight, touch, smell, and hearing. Some of the most common visual arts are painting, sculpture, music, dance, film and visual communications. Visual art can be used for aesthetic purposes or for functional reasons. An example of a functional use of art is painting a beautiful picture to decorate your home or adding delightful nature photography to your album.
